Prayers for Healing now into Third Printing!
This week, the third printing of Prayers for Healing from the Anglican Tradition arrived in stores. The author, publisher, and distributor are grateful to all who have purchased copies to date. The book is also the subject of an April 16th, 2010 Christian Week story by Mags Storey. Also, watch for an excerpt from the introduction of the book in an upcoming edition of the Toronto Anglican newspaper. Fr. Graves has attended several events and signings, with several more planned for the near future (click on the appearances tab, above, for dates and locations). Second Printing Ordered for “Prayers for Healing from the Anglican Tradition”
Although Prayers for Healing from the Anglican Tradition has only been on sale for just under six week
s, the first print-run is almost sold out and a second print-run has been ordered and will be arriving in stores soon! Prayers for Healing from the Anglican Tradition is a new resource intended for clergy, lay visitors, lay anointers, chaplains, parish nurses, liturgy planners and prayer groups, compiled from official prayer books from around the Anglican Communion. The compiler, the Rev. Daniel F. Graves, a priest and writer in the Anglican Diocese of Toronto, offers a theological introduction to the expansive and holistic nature of prayer in the Anglican Tradition and includes pastoral rubrics with each section detailing how the prayers might be used within various pastoral and liturgical contexts.

“Prayers for Healing from the Anglican Tradition” – Now on Sale!
Prayers for Healing from the Anglican Tradition is a new resource aimed at clergy and lay ministers of healing and will be useful both for liturgies of the church and hospital or home visitation. Compiled by the Rev. Daniel F. Graves, a priest of the Anglican Diocese of Toronto, this collection is comprised of healing prayers from official prayer books from around the Anglican Communion. Fr. Graves provides an introduction to collection with some reflections on healing prayer in the Anglican Tradition and also provides pastoral rubrics for use of the prayers. The collection is published by ABC Publishing (Anglican Book Centre) and distributed by Augsburg Fortress Canada. $13.95 CDN + GST
